Ok, I know that it has been freakin forever since I posted but the Mrs. has done all the trips and such, and I've just been doing my usual and uninteresting stuff. I could chat about the weather, now that it's been snowing off and on for nearly a week, and how I've become very well acquainted with the snowblower. It's just not that interesting.
As for the auction trips, there just hasn't been any this fall and the Caldwell auction is closed for two weeks during the holidays and the weather's been a bit frightful so I've not been hanging around the Main all day like I usually do. But don't fret, I've not lost the urge and still have on my "bucket list" that I want to attend 100 auctions in a calander year.
But on another front, we had a great Christmas and are looking forward to a wonderful new year. I have most of this week between Christmas and New Years off and I'm planning to get a bunch of those lingering items off of the "to-do" list. I might even have a little time to relax and watch football or play Wii with the Mrs, or maybe get some "honey-do's" off the list as well.
I might even post again on my blog.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game
I've gotten a lot of flack lately cause I haven't posted since June but hey, I've been busy and the Missus has been sharing our travels. But now I have an event to share.
My dear Son (aka "the Buddy") invited me and Grandpa to the local minor league baseball game. For those of you that really know me, you know I ain't much of a sports fan, but I agreed to go since I wanted to do the male bonding thing and heck, it might be a good excuse to quaff a cold one on a Monday nite.
It turned out to be great fun and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the company. The seats were absolutely the best - right behind home plate and about halfway up so you could see all the action. And these seats were in the shade from the get-go and the weather was stellar - low 80's without a cloud in the sky and just a whisper of a breeze.
This is the view from our seats.
And to top it off, the Boise Hawks mascot came by to see us and decided I needed a hug, or maybe my nose picked, I'm not quite sure.
Anyway, I just wanted to share the great time we had and to thank the Buddy for setting this up and making it happen. You rock dude!

Not even half way through the trip
Well, I'm sitting here enjoying a little web surfing (thanks to the bucko!) and I thought about posting a short one from the KCI Airport.
I had a great time visiting the Dr and Mrs Dr and those sweet grandkids - but especially the warm hugs from the Missus. Gads do I miss her!
And that new grandkid Megaman is a real cutie, just like the rest! He fits right in.
The trip has been fairly flawless and good ole Milly (the new GPS) worked her wonders and got me through some road construction and wreckage in fine style.
I'll be spending the nite in Baltimore and enjoying the conference for the next few days but I'll be thinking of the Missus and the fun we will be having come next week in Florida. Can't wait!
Hope all is well with the bloggers and watchers of the world, and that Mrs Dr gets to feeling better soon.
Talk to you all later

About time to head out
Well, it's been a very long 19 days, 10 hours and 38 minutes (or there abouts) since I've held the Missus and I'm way past due for one of her lovin hugs. I've got just a few more things left on the to-do list, but I have to confess that several items were simply wiped off cause I was just a bit too ambitious when I made the list. It's no surprise that some things just take longer to get done then they first appear. And I had computer "issues" which everyone knows can suck up gobs of time to fix.
But anyway, the deeds are done, her car is back in the garage, and the many fixes that truly mattered are done. I'm hoping she notices what's missing in the garage - good gadfreys, I took 3 truck and trailer loads out so it should be obvious.
And if you're reading this honey, I'll soon be on my way to you!

All Things Ham
Trixie and the Coonster were passing through on their way home and decided to stay at Connie’s Casa on Collister, but the lady of the house was out so they were stuck with me. I did the crockpot thing and we had a nice dinner with BMK&R. We visited clear till 11:30pm about the Escalante trip and what fun they had. I had a few chicken items I picked up at the auctions, along with some Santa and snowman items, and Trixie seemed genuinely thrilled. The best was the two toys for the Coonster and I can hardly wait to hear how these played out at home (and get your mind out of the gutter!). Here he is trying out the "Basket Case" game.
I put together a breakfast of toast, fruit, and (you guessed it) ham. It seems that ham is the Escalante mainstay for the weekend meals, so much so that both were pretty tired of it. But they were troopers and ate it anyway, but we got to laughing about how perhaps the word ham should be substituted for any and all cuss words. You know, like “oh, go straight to HAM” or “what the HAM were you thinking.” Here’s a couple photos of the morning fun.
I think this is a happy face but I'm not entirely sure.
We had a big laugh about this as well as deciding that we need to start a “Bella-pedia” for the cute things this grandchild says. I still giggle out loud thinking about the “George Washing Machine” dollar bill. Probably need a "Pedia" for each of them grandkids cause they all say the darnedest things.

The hole in the yard next door is getting bigger and the forms are in for a foundation. I bet by the time I get back from visiting the family and doing the conference thing that a house might have sprouted up.
Well, time to get back to working on getting the Missus car back in the garage.

There's a new house goin in next door
Came home from work on Wednesday night and noticed right off that something was different about the vacant lot next door. Well, I'll be danged - it aint vacant no more. Not sure how long it will be before they move it, but in the words of Princess, they sure do have a ..."nice hole in the yard that can only be filled by you"!

I found a "Stroke Victim" photo
I was just sitting here screwin around before the auction and thought I'd clean up some of my computer files. Well, I found a recent photo of the Missus after a dentist visit and dang, don't it make me laugh!! Makes me miss her all the more.
Well, it's about time to head to the auction barn and bidem to the moon.

A really good amateur Quartet
Here's a video of some good ole barbershop quartet music I rather enjoy.
I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this ole bloggin stuff.
Had a great time with the in-laws last night and we pretty much giggled the night away. We headed to the airport about 2 hours early this morning (no surprise here) and we had no trouble getting through the process. I surely did enjoy the visit and now I have a near new Cadillac to play with for the weekend. Woo-hoo!
But I'm still missing the Missus.

Ba-Conrad has arrived!!
Day 3 of missing the Missus - For those who have already heard, then this is old news, but my dear Mrs Dr. and Hubby brought another love bug into the world. Haven't yet seen pictures of the little nipper but the Missus says he's just a speck and looks like his sister Princess. Gads, another irresistible grandkid for me and the Missus to spoil!.
Anyway, I've had a full day of gub-ment and some time to work on the household to-do list, but now I'm spent so it's time to crack open a cold one, pop up some corn, and see who gets voted off American Idol.
The in-laws are coming tomorrow night so I might miss a post. But I'll be thinking of you.

A day at the dentist
Just another day at the office but an early departure for a dentist appointment to get a filling. It wasn't all that bad but I laughed when I looked in the mirror. It reminded me of the Missus and our "stroke victim" photo when Trixie and company came to town for a visit.
I have a picture of the garage "work in progress" but I can't seem to get this dang technology figured out.
Maybe tomorrow.

Molten Cheese what?!? races?
Tis the first in a series of posts as I while away the days until I am reunited with My Sweet Baboo.
The conversation last night with Miss Judy was full of fun and way outa there concepts. Something about cheese slices on the grill that turn into flying objects that somehow turns into a race. Are you kiddin me?! Oh for pete sakes (as if Pete had anything to do with this?) But the conversation turned into coming up with names for new rock and roll or Indy bands. You know, Swirling Molten Cheese Gas, Busted Bran Muffins - go ahead, reply with a food related band name if you want. I know you got one in ya and it might be a giggle.
I'm kind of partial to Fake Ficus. I know it's not food but it just has a naughty and nice ring to it, don't you think? You know, like "Oh Fetch!"
Well, I need to get out into the garage and start the clean out, but here's to the Misses and them lucky grandkids who have the best darn Grandma in the whole wide world.

Dialin it back - just a bit
To all who are wondering just what the heck happened to me, well - I had a revelation that perhaps I should dial it back. Going to auctions twice a week and all the family stuff going on (not to mention my day job that tends to take it's toll) were clearly starting to wear me out. Something had to give and the auction gig was the obvious choice. I still don't have 2 cars in the garage but the piles of stuff aren't growing. And I still enjoy the Saturday auction, just not all day - but I'll be home more on Thursday nights.
And I actually had some time to do something else - which was having the boys (and girls) over for a little Xbox Halo-pizza party this last Friday night. What A Hoot! I gave the "Bdiddy" a run for his money and I truly enjoyed hearing how "that danged old Don-o-Death got me again". I certainly hope we can do this again and maybe even get a third TV-console-team set up. it's all good!
Well, it's time to get started with the "post-auction assessment" and make a load so you all take care and I'll be back later.

Wow Wee Woooo - what a couple of great sales!
let me just start by saying that the title of this post pretty much says it all and dang it all but I forgot the camera and didn't think to use my cell phone.
The pawn shop auction was as big and full of great stuff as advertised and me and the Mrs. stayed to the bitter end and got some sweet deals and awesome stuff. The details are just too much to describe but we got tools, Xbox games, tools, metal detectors, tools, - well, you get the idea.
And if Friday wasn't enough, I scored big (and I mean really big) at Musick's Snap On tool auction on Saturday. There was literally thousands of new and near new Snap On tools and just gobs of high quality equipment that seemed to go on forever! Thankfully a tax commission friend (yes it's true that even us auditor types have friends in the biz) was there and he was more than happy to help me keep track of my stuff, pile it up and even help load when all was done. All of this in an open barn type building at 25 degrees and a 30 mile per hour wind that cut right through you. We struck a deal on the side for all his help plus I've asked the Mrs. to reward him with a beverage of his choice the next time she sees him at bowling.
Needless to say, my car is no longer in the garage and scant chance of it getting back in anytime soon. But hey, watch our Ebay listings (over the next several months!) and you'll see what I'm talkin about.
Talk to you later

A regular Sunday
It's been a regular kind of Sunday around here, what with the "post auction assessment" most of the day, making a load for Main, having the folks and MK&R (no B) over for dinner, and now a little quiet time before heading to bed and starting another week. Not sure why this is worth posting but I've been kind of a slacker when it comes to posting so here's something new for you all to read.
The auctions this week were somewhat usual, with not much stuff at Caldwell, although at Main they had 4 bays of new merchandise from a local medical and welding supplies Co (Norco) and I left at 5:30pm and they still weren't done with it all. I'm sure the auction lasted into the wee hours of the morning. Anyway, I got some interesting and fun things so watch our stuff on Ebay in about a week or two .
But this next weekend is going to be a real hoot, as there is a pawn shop auction in Caldwell on Friday and Saturday and they will be running 2 rings both days. They have got a TON of stuff so take a look at this link http://www.downsauction.com/DUKESPAWN.htm. The Mrs is coming with me on Friday so I should have some photos for the next post.
There is also a Snap On tool auction on Saturday in Meridian which I will definitely be attending before I head over to Caldwell. And of course Sunday is the Superbowl and a fun time with the Wilkes, BMK&R and the folks.
That's about it for now.
